We need a proper button for << and >> to expand/collapse the contacts panel... maybe an image is not necessary but at least something which will fit the graphical theme (background color etc.). To my personnal taste, the button would be better if it takes all the vertical space and the symbol << or >> is vertically centered. Beside that I find that the panel, when collapsed, takes too much horizontal space.
